It's easy to figure out how much dirt you need, just measure the square footage of the raised bed, then remember that on each bag of dirt there is a scale that tells you how much each bag will cover. In my case, I needed 40 bags of dirt. They weighted 40 pounds each and I had to move them by hand 3 times. Do that math and it will tell you to not let your teenage son get away. To get square footage just multiply length of the bed by the width. If you are using inches remember to covert it back to feet. If that creates a mind warp, find a fifth grader and get your answers.
